Job Summary

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Parma, 72 Hours, Nights)

Location: Metro Health Parma Medical Center

Shift: 7p-7a; rotating weekends and holidays

Hours: Bi‑weekly 72 hours

Primary Patient Population

Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
Level 3 Trauma Center

Primary Skills Utilized / Learned

Patient assessments
Patient triage
Trauma care
IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion
Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Team & Unit Details

Personnel will work with Paramedics, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Providers
Number of beds: 16 (expandable to 21)

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications or obtained within 90 days of hire
Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire
Current NIHSS Stroke certification obtained within 90 days of hire
PRN RN must possess current certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

BSN
Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
