We’re looking for a Director of Accounting Operations to lead and elevate our Accounts Receivable / Order-to-Cash and Treasury functions
. This is a highly visible leadership role for an accounting professional who thrives on improving processes, developing people, and bringing structure and efficiency to high-volume financial operations. You’ll oversee a team of approximately 15 accounting & treasury professionals and play a key role in ensuring the organization maintains strong cash flow, disciplined working capital management, accurate receivables, and effective treasury operations.
Lead Accounting Operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 15 professionals across AR, Order-to-Cash, and Treasury.
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability across the team.
- Serve as a hands-on leader who can step into complex issues while empowering managers and team members to own their areas.
- Partner closely with senior leadership, Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams.
- Oversee the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle
, including invoicing, cash application, collections, account reconciliation, and dispute resolution. - Drive improvements in DSO, aging, collections performance, cash application, and overall working capital
. - Establish and monitor AR reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Develop SOPs for O2C operations specific to industry standards and implement process improvements for best efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place around billing, collections, cash receipts, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee daily treasury and cash management activities, including cash positioning, bank activity, transfers, and reconciliations.
- Monitor liquidity and cash requirements and help optimize the organization's cash position.
- Manage banking relationships and support banking administration, including account openings, closures, signatories, and related documentation.
- Strengthen treasury processes, controls, and reporting.
- Partner with leadership to improve cash forecasting and visibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
, with significant experience in AR, Order-to-Cash, Treasury, or related functions. - Proven experience leading and developing teams
, ideally in a high-volume environment. - Strong understanding of AR operations, cash application, collections, reconciliations, and cash management.
- Experience improving processes, implementing controls, and driving operational efficiencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong ERP/accounting systems experience; experience with automation and process improvement initiatives is highly valued.
- Net Suite experience is a plus.
