We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex environmental projects from planning through execution while supporting client engagement and business development efforts. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who blends deep technical knowledge with strong project leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality environmental solutions that meet regulatory requirements, client objectives, schedules, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage environmental site investigations, assessments, and remediation projects
- Evaluate surface and subsurface conditions and develop sound technical recommendations
- Define project scope, milestones, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets
- Monitor project performance, control costs, and proactively adjust schedules as needed
- Prepare, review, and oversee technical reports, design documents, bid packages, and proposals
- Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams across all phases of project delivery
- Ensure work products comply with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations
- Serve as the primary client contact, providing clear communication and regular status updates
- Lead proposal development efforts, including cost estimates and project schedules
- Support business development, marketing initiatives, and long-term client relationships
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and technical growth
- 10–12+ years of relevant environmental engineering or consulting experience
- 8+ years of project management experience
Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) - 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and remediation practices
- Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
- Ability to apply mathematical and statistical concepts to engineering analyses
- Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Construction oversight or field implementation experience
- Experience with industry tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rocscience, L-Pile, GSLOPE, Key Wall, WEAP, or similar software
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools
