Marotta Controls is seeking an engineering technician to support the fabrication and testing of special and/or automated test equipment (ATE) for the Power and Control Actuation Systems (PAS) business unit. The successful candidate will build and verify test equipment, cable harnesses, and test boxes that will be used to test advanced power electronics and control actuation systems. You will also document the test results and in general collaborate with the design engineers to ensure the designs meet specified requirements and program goals.
You will support internal and external development and qualification test activities.
- Assembly and testing of test equipment, breakout boxes, load boxes, and harnesses/cabling
- Circuit card assembly, repair, rework and troubleshooting
- Operate instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMM’s, power supplies, data recorders
- Able to use and work with schematic diagrams and engineering drawings
- Component selection and acquisition
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred)
- Minimum Associate’s (AAS) degree in electronics technology, or technical certification in a related field (preferred)
- Experience in electronic laboratory work in a design and development engineering environment
- Must be a US Citizen
- Working knowledge of staking and coating materials and their application
- Working knowledge of ESD principles and safety
- Software:
Visio, MS Office
- Familiar with AS9100 and ISO standards helpful.
- History of certification to IPC J-STD-610 with Class III experience
- History of certification to IPC J-STD-620 Class III experience
- Thorough understanding of electronic and electro‑mechanical principles
- Experience with electromechanical systems
- Position entails exposure to typical manufacturing (i.e. Machine Shop, Assembly, Testing, etc.) environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
- Continual repetitive use of hands and arms

Pay Range: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
