Our client is seeking a Human Resources professional with a broad range of knowledge and experience to support strategic recruiting efforts aligned with the current Affinity Action Plan, employee relations, and benefits administration. This role partners closely with the HR Manager and leadership team to translate business strategy into effective HR initiatives that support organizational goals. In addition, this position will assist with planning and coordinating key employee-related events throughout the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Foster positive employee relations by promoting an engaged and collaborative work environment that supports continuous improvement.
- Administer employee benefit programs including health and welfare, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and leave programs. Manage enrollments, changes, and distribution of benefit materials.
- Communicate benefit offerings clearly and regularly to ensure employee understanding, providing guidance and support as questions or situations arise.
- Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit vendors to resolve issues and promote effective plan utilization.
- Support recruitment and selection activities, including interview coordination, hiring documentation, onboarding processes, and new hire orientation.
- Maintain accurate employee records related to personal data, compensation, and benefits while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
- Manage and maintain HRIS data integrity, generate reports as needed, and ensure personnel files are current and well-organized.
- Proactively administer and track leave programs, including FMLA and applicable state leave programs, and educate employees on eligibility and processes.
- Apply working knowledge of employment regulations and compliance requirements, including EEO, AAP, FLSA, and FMLA.
- Plan, coordinate, and support two company-sponsored events, including logistics, vendor coordination, internal communications, and on-site execution.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize HR processes and systems to support evolving business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (or High School diploma with an additional four years of related HR experience).
- Minimum of three years of Human Resources experience, including benefits administration, recruiting support, and/or HRIS management.
- Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS platforms.
- Experience administering employee benefits and managing leave programs such as FMLA and state-specific leaves.
- Prior experience supporting regulated or compliance-driven environments is preferred.
- Exposure to labor relations or HR support within a manufacturing or operational setting is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, including administrative HR responsibilities and event planning initiatives.
