ERP Data Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced ERP Data Business Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives focused on building and enhancing a GCP Data Lake environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to define data requirements, document business rules, establish canonical data models, and ensure successful data migration and validation across Sales, Finance, and Operations domains.

• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations SMEs to gather business requirements and identify critical data elements.
• Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents for data migration and integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and business teams to define and document enterprise canonical data models, including standard business definitions, naming conventions, and data structures.
• Translate business requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform data profiling, gap analysis, and impact assessments to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and discrepancies between source systems and target environments.
• Define data validation rules and testing strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support business sign-off activities for data migration and engineering deliverables.
• Maintain and manage data governance artifacts, including data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata, and lineage documentation.
• Work with Data Engineering teams to support implementation of scalable data lake and analytics solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Data Product Owner, or related role.
• Proven experience supporting Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Migration, or Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
• Strong domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Sales (CRM, Pipeline Management, Customer Data)
  • Finance (ERP, General Ledger, Financial Reporting)
  • Operations (Supply Chain, Order Management, Operational Analytics)
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts including:
  • Star Schema
  • Snowflake Schema
  • Kimball Methodology
  • Inmon Methodology
  • Canonical/Universal Data Models
• Experience creating source-to-target mappings, business requirements, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
  • Big Query
  • Cloud Storage
  • Dataplex
• Experience with Data Governance, Data Quality, and Metadata Management tools.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and enterprise data integration projects.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
