Clinical Data Scientist - RWE Data Analysis Oversight Lead:
Inflammation Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee timeliness and quality of analysis results supporting the CDS-RWE Inflammation therapeutic area portfolio.
  • Track, prioritize, and manage execution of analysis deliverables across the TA portfolio.
  • Partner on data strategy and advanced analytical tools/methods for the TA portfolio.
  • Manage vendor performance; elevate risks impacting the TA portfolio.
  • Own end-to-end oversight of deliverables (programming/analysis and outputs), including quality acceptance, risk identification, and mitigation.
  • Monitor translation of observational research protocols/requirements into vendor analysis specifications and deliverables.
  • Review quality of specifications, programs, cohorts, feasibility/results, publications/abstracts, and other outputs.
  • Ensure locking/archiving as appropriate; coordinate analysis utilization and vendor assignment.
  • Resolve vendor quality/scope/timeliness issues; maintain communication with vendors and service providers on priorities/milestones.
  • Ensure vendor onboarding to analysis tools/programming environments and access to observational data.
  • Identify/document efficiency improvements and collaborate with other TA oversight roles and the Gilead Data Office for training on licensed observational datasets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s + 12 years OR Master’s + 10 years OR PhD + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications (selected)
  • 5+ years generating observational research analysis deliverables.
  • BS required; MS+ preferred in CS/Data Science/Biostatistics/Epidemiology.
  • GxP compliant SAS/R experience with primary and real-world data.
  • Experience leading programmers/data analysts in matrixed environments; strong written/verbal communication; RWE regulatory landscape and international data/OMOP preferred.
