We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong litigation background to support a busy legal team handling complex cases and high document volume.
This role is ideal for a seasoned paralegal who can work independently, manage cases proactively, and support attorneys throughout the full litigation lifecycle.
ResponsibilitiesDraft legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery documents independently
Prepare and respond to discovery requests
Conduct background reviews and legal research
Manage and organize large volumes of legal documentation and case files
Support case management activities and anticipate next steps in litigation workflows
Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and case schedules
Prepare billing narratives and time entries with clear justification of work performed
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case progression
5+ years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal
Strong experience with discovery requests, background reviews, and litigation workflows
Proven ability to independently draft pleadings (complaints, motions, discovery documents)
Billing experience
, including drafting billing narrativesStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
, especially WordAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys
Experience in personal injury defense or similar litigation environments
Familiarity with legal case management systems
This is a 100% onsite role in Parsippany, NJ
Candidates must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate
Experience primarily in plaintiff work, family law, real estate, or employment law is NOT a fit
