Location: Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid)

A well-established regional litigation firm with a strong presence in the Northeast is seeking to expand its New Jersey litigation team. The firm is known for providing attorneys with hands‑on responsibility, collaborative mentorship, and a supportive environment that promotes long‑term career growth.

Job Summary

The firm is seeking a mid‑level Associate Attorney with 4–7 years of civil litigation experience to handle a diverse caseload of complex matters. This hybrid role offers meaningful case ownership, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on high‑quality litigation matters.

Responsibilities
  • Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
  • Prepare and argue dispositive motions in state court
  • Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda in support of case strategy
  • Communicate regularly with clients and prepare detailed status reports
  • Collaborate with partners, colleagues, and experts to develop litigation strategy
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school
  • Active admission to the New Jersey State Bar
  • 4+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Experience practicing in New Jersey state and federal courts
  • Demonstrated experience with depositions and motion practice
  • ADR experience, including arbitrations and mediations, preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
