2nd shift available - Wednesday to Saturday, 2 pm–12 am.

As a Security Officer with Cologix you will be responsible for providing a physical layer of security at all Cologix locations. Security Officers are responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of Cologix employees, guests, and facilities.

• Verifies the identities of employees, customers and visitors entering and exiting the facility
• Monitors interior and exterior cameras and addresses policy infractions, emergencies, or suspicious activity
• Controls access for permitted visitors and provides temporary access (visitor badges); denies entry to individuals who do not meet criteria
• Keeps an accurate log of all visitors/vendors using the People Tracker system
• Performs security checks per shift, patrolling interior and exterior areas for unsecured doors/windows, tampering, and unauthorized individuals; documents findings
• Monitors entry access and fire alarm systems and responds accordingly
• Notifies local authorities in emergencies
• Acts as first responder in medical emergencies
• Performs shipping and receiving duties using defined processes
• Responds to tickets, cases, and emails within the security department in a timely manner
• Maintains security offices, equipment, and loading docks in a clean and organized state
• Seeks guidance from the Security Supervisor when needed
• Performs additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience and/or training
• Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service
• Punctual, reliable, flexible, and willing to work additional hours as needed
• Basic computer skills
