Java Full Stack Developer

About the role

As a Java Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high‑performing enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of our technology delivery team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, QA, and cloud engineering partners to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Build responsive, intuitive, and modern user interfaces using Angular.
• Develop, integrate, and optimize RESTful APIs to support seamless communication across systems.
• Work with Oracle databases to perform data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Leverage Microsoft Azure services to deploy, monitor, secure, and scale applications.

• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in Java development, microservices, and cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Java (OOP, multithreading, performance tuning).
• Proven experience with Spring Boot for microservices development and RESTful services.
• Hands‑on experience building UI components and applications with Angular.
• Experience working with Oracle databases (PL/SQL, schema design, data management).
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure (resource management, security, scaling).
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and system‑analysis capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams and communicate clearly.

• Experience with Cosmos DB, Couchbase, or other No
  
  SQL technologies.
• Hands‑on exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Open Shift).
• Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Relevant certifications such as:

  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Developer Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • GCP Professional Cloud Developer

The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
