About The Role

As a Java Full Stack Engineer
, you will make an impact by designing and building scalable, cloud-enabled enterprise applications that support critical business functions. You will be a valued member of a collaborative technology team, working closely with product owners, architects, and cross‑functional engineering partners to deliver high‑quality solutions across the full software development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support secure and efficient data exchange across systems
• Develop responsive, user-friendly front‑end applications using Angular
• Work with Oracle databases to support data modeling, query optimization, and transaction management
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications using Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to improve reliability and performance

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java development, including object‑oriented design, multithreading, and performance tuning
• Experience building Spring Boot–based microservices and RESTful services
• Front‑end development experience using Angular and modern UI frameworks
• Experience working with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure for application deployment and management
• 5–7 years of experience in full stack development within enterprise environments
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in both independent and team‑based environments

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Open Shift or other container orchestration platforms

The annual salary for this position is between $62,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
