Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain front‑end and back‑end applications within Marotta’s Data Architecture
  • Manage the end‑to‑end life cycle for software and applications, from production to post‑implementation support
  • Maintain and upgrade software following deployment
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust architectural designs
  • Oversee system integration and user acceptance testing, providing feedback to management during the development process
  • Modify and test changes to previously developed programs; conduct assessments, provide recommendations, and implement best practices for cost optimization, security, and performance tuning
  • Establish and maintain communication with business units and third‑party vendors to monitor changing IT environments
  • Conceptualize, define, develop, test, and deploy enterprise technology solutions, products, and services
  • Collaborate with IT security and audit to enforce strict cross‑platform security and audit controls
  • Partner with other IT functions to evaluate, prioritize, and resolve new issues and problem scenarios
  • Create, update, and maintain strategic technology plans
  • Manage complex technology projects across organizations
  • Craft acceptable policies and procedures as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing the complete software development lifecycle
  • Expertise in AWS Lambda, Relational Database Service (RDS), Lake Formation, and Cloud migrations
  • Proficiency in high‑level programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Angular, and/or React
  • Experience with web front‑end and back‑end development, data access tiers, and Enterprise SQL
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/Git Hub
  • Experience with microservices such as Spring Framework and Spring Boot, and container services such as AWS ECS, Docker, and/or Kubernetes
  • Demonstrated record of creating and maintaining multiple environments and architecting highly scalable solutions for rapidly growing business needs
  • Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Ability to document business requirements and system designs
  • Lean and/or Agile methodology experience
  • Knowledge of JIRA or similar ticketing system (plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
  • Can work independently and within a team
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
Work Environment

This full‑time role is based in Parsippany and may require occasional travel to our Montville office. It alternates between a professional office setting and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. Standard office equipment and appropriate safety gear will be used, and on‑call rotation and occasional weekend support are expected.

Physical Requirements

The position requires regular visual, verbal, and auditory tasks; reaching, lifting, and handling items up to 25 pounds; sitting, standing, walking, bending, and turning throughout the facility.
