Overview

T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks Software Engineers in Parsippany, NJ to work with a team of software and network engineers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer requirements, scales easily, removes limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. Responsibilities include understanding system protocols, how systems operate, and data flows; maintaining awareness of current technology benefits;

independently developing a full software stack; collaborating with technical teams; continuously learning new technologies; writing documentation on technology workings; contributing clear documentation for new code; documenting systems designs, presentations, and business requirements; contributing to emerging technologies; interacting with system engineers to define system requirements; presenting new ideas that improve existing systems or services; expressing new perspectives based on industry study;

and reviewing current company processes to refine processes.

• Primary:
  Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Alternative:
  Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 7 years of relevant work experience.

• Understanding of programming languages Java, NodeJS, VueJS, and SQL to build new features and enhancements for network monitoring and alarming solutions.
• Interpreting technical specifications in accordance with current application architecture and security standards.
• Utilizing interfacing programs Kafka, Elastic Search, and Splunk to write and deploy code.
• Using Git Lab and Kubernetes for CI/CD pipeline and deployment environments.
• Working knowledge of current design of various software components focused on creating applications and supporting backend data processes that leverage multiple technologies and complex system integrations.
