Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the monthly financial close, supporting the shared service center.
Analyze monthly financial results for the full P&L at the plant, including calculation and validation of key finance and plant metrics.
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed and reviewed on a timely basis.
Review all key and subjective reserve accounts at least quarterly.
Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and weekly KPI metrics for the facility.
Partner with the sales organization to communicate and align updates on S&OP versus financial outlooks.
Work closely with engineering and procurement on the annual standards roll as well as monthly PPV reporting or job costing/pricing variance management.
Review and monitor the cycle count process and physical inventories; analyze variance problems and take corrective action.
Maintain inventory reporting and ERP product costing information; understand the BOM and routings.
Assist in the preparation and review of CAR financial justifications for plant capital projects, track project spending, timing, and cost impact against the project plan, forecasts, and budget, and report variances.
Work with project managers to assure timely capitalization of equipment placed in use and perform sample CAR post‑audits to verify savings.
Coordinate periodic fixed asset physical inventory per company policies and review payroll and labor analysis, ensuring applicable payroll controls are in place.
Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional accounting and internal control procedures, SOX compliance, and reporting requirements for all plants.
Analyze plant operating costs in detail and partner with plant operation leaders to develop actions that increase profitability and enhance long‑term return on investment.
Work with operations on driving plant continuous improvement and validate all CI initiatives for accuracy.
QualificationsRequires a bachelor’s degree in accounting and five years of experience as an accounting manager, finance controller, or related occupation.
Minimum of five years experience with US GAAP and internal controls; four years with cost accounting; four years with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting; four years with One Stream financial system, HFM, or Essbase; five years with ERP systems; five years supporting manufacturing operations; five years with capital appropriations requests; and five years with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) Act compliance.
