Adjunct - Process Technology Instructor (Pool)

• For applicants with an Associate’s Degree in Process Technology, it is a requirement to provide Employer Letter(s) of Verification documenting a minimum of three (3) years of non‑teaching wage‑earning experience in the occupational field. Multiple letters must be submitted if employment with one employer does not total three (3) years. Letters must be on company letterhead.

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part‑time capacity on an as‑needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.

Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part‑time basis.

Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.

• Reports to the Division Chair of Physical Sciences and Process Technologies.
• Teaches Process Technology classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods.
• CCPI (Continuous Collaborative Process Improvement).

College benefits do not accrue with this part‑time position.

Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, handling, fine dexterity, vision, hearing, talking; ability to drive to off‑campus locations.

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, or an Associate’s Degree in Process Technology from a regionally accredited college.
• Minimum of three years of industrial experience.
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution.
• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration.
