Position Overview
The Inventory Control Coordinator I performs various analyses related to inventory management, cycle counting, shipping and receiving processes, material flow & BOM requirements in order to maintain control over the volume of raw materials, parts in process and/or finished products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Perform inventory analysis and management to avoid low stock and overstock.
- Develop inventory plans to ensure smooth flow.
- Create, administer, analyze, and report all cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory locations and resolve all discrepancies.
- Complete inventory reporting as needed to ensure the availability of materials to the manufacturing floor, promoting operational efficiency.
- Provide daily support for production needs, including inventory data analysis for production, inventory control, planning or scheduling.
- Establish and manage databases or information systems with data integrity to enable effective inventory control or scheduling decisions.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with all departments to ensure smooth workflow and alignment.
- Operate within budgetary constraints and contribute to reducing overhead costs and expenses.
- Ensure the weekly cycle count schedule is created and distributed daily; perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies identified during cycle counts or other methods and develop/implement corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies.
- Maintain a gain/loss tracker to monitor inventory discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Review inventory planning parameters to ensure alignment with plant objectives.

Education and/or ExperienceAt least 1-2 years of inventory management experience in warehouse, purchasing, or logistics.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using standard units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to adhere to delegation of authority and lead by instructions of management and supervision.
