Heavy Equipment Operator
This Position pays $23.58 per hour!
We're looking for a full‑time, Explosives Operator to join the Day & Zimmermann team located in Parsons, Kansas.
As the Explosives Operator, here's the work you'll do:- Operates a computer interface, a loss‑in‑weight feeder and thermocouple thermometer for melts using kettles (5 gal., 50 gal., and 250 gal.)
- Activates and monitors systems associated with Explosive Melt System for all types of explosives. Ensures there are explosives ready for each pour at the start and end of each day.
- Complies with operation‑approved standard operating procedures.
- Coordinates pre and post system checks and cleans up as required on all floors.
- Safety awareness and commitment at all times.
- Decision making skills.
- Mathematical skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- High School and/or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months experience in operating and monitoring of production equipment.
- Forklift License preferred.
