Field technician

As a Field Technician for Cable One in our Technical & Maintenance department, you'll install, maintain, and repair broadband internet, cable TV, and phone services for residential and business customers. Working primarily in the field, you'll run and terminate cabling, configure equipment, diagnose connectivity issues, and ensure reliable, high-quality service. You'll provide friendly, knowledgeable on-site support, educating customers on their services and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and activate internet, TV, and phone services for residential and business customers
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, signal, and equipment issues on-site
• Run, terminate, label, and neatly secure coax and Ethernet cabling
• Configure and verify modems, routers, Wi-Fi, and set-top boxes
• Educate customers on services, equipment use, and basic troubleshooting
• Document work performed, update tickets, and maintain accurate records
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, codes, and company policies
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good working order
• Collaborate with dispatch, technical support, and teammates to resolve complex issues
• Represent Cable One's people-focused, community-minded culture in every customer interaction
