Accounting Consultant

Our Client, a large publicly traded company experiencing rapid growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, is seeking an Accounting Consultant to join their team on a contract basis.

This is a 3-5 month engagement with potential to extend.

This role will support the accounting team in maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, conducting financial analysis, and producing reliable, well-documented financial statements. The consultant will play a key part in upholding strong internal controls and accounting practices across the organization.

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries, maintaining organized and complete transaction documentation
• Perform bank reconciliations and track cash balances accurately
• Drive timely and accurate completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze financial data and contribute to monthly and quarterly management reporting in line with U.S. GAAP
• Review and validate the recording of revenue and expense activity to ensure compliance with internal policies
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, helping the team consistently meet reporting deadlines
• Help prepare required periodic financial reports for regulatory and compliance purposes
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts, including analyzing variances between actual and projected results
• Assist with audit readiness and serve as a point of contact for external auditors during the audit cycle
• Help ensure financial data integrity and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Take on additional ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed by leadership

• Strong Excel skills, including comfort working with large, complex data sets
