Senior Accountant

A growing organization with stellar benefits is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial analysis, and reporting. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to key accounting and finance operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting background, prior public accounting experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage general ledger activities, including account analysis and reconciliations

+ Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations

+ Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and variance review

+ Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support reporting needs

+ Assist with audit support and special projects as needed

+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency

+ Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

+ Minimum of 3 busy seasons in Big 4 audit required

+ CPA is a plus

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close

+

Experience with financial analysis and reporting

+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

+ Ability to work collaboratively across departments

+ Strong sense of accountability and ownership
