Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

I’m pleased to share that the Norton Simon Museum is seeking a Controller to join its accounting team in Pasadena.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this full-time, on-site position will help oversee accounting, financial systems, budgeting, audits, investment operations, tax-filing support, internal controls, and a three-person accounting team across the Museum and affiliated foundations.

This is a compelling opportunity for an accomplished detail-oriented accounting and finance professional with at least eight years of experience—ideally including public accounting, nonprofit, museum, and/or private-foundation experience. The role calls for strong Excel and financial-systems implementation expertise; experience with Sage Intacct and File Maker Pro is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA or MBA preferred.
