- Staff Assistant III. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $30-$45/hr + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Provide administrative support to one or more individuals which involves; managing multiple calendars, scheduling meetings for management, distributing information, escorting visitors, arranging travel, coordinating events and associated logistics, answering and routing calls, creating letters, memos, presentations, spreadsheets and reports as needed. Other ad hoc duties, as assigned.
- Ability to work well under pressure on multiple complex tasks
- Office administration and executive support
- Coordinating travel for domestic and international destinations
- Excellent in planning and flight project review
- Preparing correspondence, presentations, reports, and spreadsheets
- Managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
Required Skills:
- Strong administrative support experience
- Exceptional organization and scheduling skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel
- Sound judgment and problem-solving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and assignments with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desired
Skills:
- Previous JPL experience
- Knowledge of JPL policies, procedures, and practices
- Experience in a Division office environment
- Familiarity with JPL tools such as Teams, Gateway, JPLID, VMS, EVAMS, UFO and Concur Travel
- Experience with JPL domestic travel processes and requirements
- Experience with SharePoint, Wiki, or Alfresco
- Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Demonstrated success in a support position with the ability to maintain patience and composure in a dynamic work environment that includes interruptions and changing priorities
