Job Summary
This position is the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and a glimpse into BYD/RIDE. The ideal candidate is friendly, personable, and able to maintain office operations for employees. Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, the receptionist performs a wide variety of front‑desk and administrative responsibilities for the BYD/RIDE Pasadena Corporate Headquarters. The role requires supporting and completing tasks in a timely manner while maintaining quality work.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
- Update visitor calendar and maintain security by following procedures for visitors.
- Manage 2 multi‑system landlines and properly route calls to correct personnel.
- Manage all incoming mail, packages, and deliveries and create shipping labels as needed.
- Serve as a liaison for office vendors and property management.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and conference rooms before and after each use.
- Assist HR with new hire onboarding and offboarding.
- Assist with company catering orders and events.
- Manage internal meeting calendar.
- Support general office operations and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Computer skills: internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in an office or similar role (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented when performing administrative duties.
- Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast‑paced environment.
The role is largely sedentary but occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to talk, hear, sit, and handle tasks such as filing, lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and using a stool.
