Role Description As a Toyota Certified Technician at Toyota Pasadena, you will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Toyota vehicles according to manufacturer standards and dealership procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repair orders accurately, and using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure timely, high-quality work. You will collaborate with service advisors, follow safety and environmental guidelines, and maintain an organized work area.

The role also involves keeping up with Toyota training and certifications to stay current on new technologies and service requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pasadena, CA.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Toyota certification or manufacturer-approved training, with strong knowledge of Toyota systems and service procedures.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on gasoline, hybrid, and late-model vehicles.
  • Ability to use diagnostic scan tools, service manuals, and electronic repair information systems effectively.
  • Solid understanding of automotive electrical, mechanical, and braking systems, with attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with service advisors, parts departments, and teammates.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced service environment, managing multiple repair orders, and meeting time and safety requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational automotive training is preferred.
  • ASE certifications or willingness to pursue ASE credentials are highly beneficial.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to all dealership, Toyota, and regulatory safety standards.
