Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Certified Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing and compliance for construction and public works projects. This role is responsible for handling certified payroll, union reporting, subcontractor coordination, and maintaining accurate project documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline‑driven environment, excels at data accuracy, and provides professional customer support to contractors and internal teams.
Essential Functions- Process weekly certified payroll, including uploading and distributing all required reports
- Process subcontractor certified payroll and handle all related distribution
- Maintain certified payroll folders and ensure all documentation is accurate and audit‑ready
- Provide customer support to prime contractors and subcontractors related to certified payroll compliance
- Monitor emails for incoming contract information and project updates
- Maintain project Excel sheets with all necessary project details
- Assist with certified payroll start‑up paperwork for new projects
- Assist with preparation of Union Reports and Status Letters
- Support regular certified payroll distribution as needed
- Perform general office duties, including filing, copying, scanning, and document organization
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Certified Payroll Manager
- Utilize labor compliance systems such as LCP Tracker and DIR for reporting and tracking
- 2+ years of Payroll Union experience (experience within a Construction Payroll department preferred but not required)
- Previous Certified Payroll experience preferred but not required
- 2+ years of data entry experience with demonstrated accuracy
- Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word
- Accurate 10‑key by touch
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, including professional, courteous phone communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with similar timelines and deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict reporting requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal staff and external partners
- High aptitude for learning new systems, software, and compliance programs
- Ability to work overtime or weekends as required by leadership
Compensation: #0 to $37 per hour
