Senior Payroll Practitioner

The Senior Payroll Practitioner position assumes accountability for day-to-day payroll duties, analyzes union and non-union payroll contracts, performs systems tests and troubleshooting, as well as investigates and researches issues. The Senior Payroll Practitioner works closely with the Controller regarding the Payroll Department’s functionalities, systems issues, compliance, special projects, etc.

• gProvides support to Payroll Department with any data entry, filing, timekeeping, or other day-to-day processing tasks to meet deadline

• nLeads preparation and completion of all statutory filings (941s, EEO, New Hire, SSA Verification, etc.
• )Leads preparation and validation of employee benefit reporting and reconciliatio
• nLeads preparation of union reports, workers’ compensation reports, etc
• .Assists Controller with research and implementation of new legislation/statutory requirement

• gRegularly reviews payroll documents for compliance to statutory laws and company policies, escalating issues when they aris
• eReviews and executes union contract change
• sLeads and/or works closely with Controller to plan and execute yearly required audits, benefit enrollments, year-end processing, etc
