Lower School Music Teacher

, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Lower School Music Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent school in Pasadena, CA.

• Teach several music courses for lower school students including general and vocal music.
• Design and implement music curriculum for students in grades K‑5 that supports musical understanding, creativity, skill development, and joyful participation.
• Direct school concerts and music experiences.
• Lead vocal development, ensemble singing, creative expression, collaborative performance, and instrumental exploration.
• Collaborate with Lower School faculty to integrate musical curriculum into classroom teaching.
• Work closely with department staff to improve K‑12 music program.
• Build strong relationships through clear and consistent communication with families, students, and colleagues, including timely updates on student progress and effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to improve instructional practices and remain current with trends in the field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of elementary teaching experience required.
• Strong vocal and instrumental skills.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.
