Adjunct Professor - MA ECE

Pacific Oaks College and Children’s School is recruiting Adjunct Professors for the Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education program. Instructional assignments are based in Pasadena, California, with opportunities for off‑site and online teaching.

As an Adjunct Professor, you will deliver high‑quality graduate‑level instruction, bridging theory and professional practice. You will support adult learners through equity‑centered, constructivist, and trauma‑informed pedagogy.

• Teach graduate‑level Early Childhood Education courses within the Master of Arts program.
• Engage adult learners through inclusive pedagogy.
• Assess student learning and maintain records.
• Foster respectful and supportive learning environments.
• Communicate professionally with students and academic leadership.

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in Early Childhood Education.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in an online format using a Learning Management System such as Canvas.
• Commitment to Pacific Oaks College’s mission and social justice values.

• Doctorate in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Publications or research in early childhood education.
• Proficiency in Canvas LMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and online teaching tools.

Location:

This position is eligible for flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to choose their work location based on role requirements and team needs.

Salary: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.
