Adjunct Professor – Education and Special Education
Pacific Oaks College and Children’s School is recruiting an Adjunct Professor in Education and Special Education for instructional assignments based in Pasadena, California, with opportunities for off‑site and online instruction. The position is part‑time and part of the Department of Education.
Salary: $25.00–$28.00 per hour.
Location: Pasadena, California (flexible work arrangements available).
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate Education and Special Education courses.
- Engage adult learners through inclusive pedagogy.
- Assess student learning and maintain records.
- Foster respectful and supportive learning environments.
- Communicate professionally with students and academic leadership.
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in Education.
- Knowledge of educational theory, curriculum development, and effective teaching practices in higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses online using a Learning Management System such as Canvas.
- Commitment to Pacific Oaks College’s mission and social justice values.
- Doctorate in Education or a related field.
- Publications or research in Education.
- Proficiency in Canvas LMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and online teaching tools.
