Position: School Behavior Technician 2026

Department: School ABA - Behavioral Support

Location: Burbank, CA

Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 / hour

Position Overview

School Behavior Technician (SBT) – Full‑time, 8 am – 3 pm, Monday–Friday. Some schools may require 7:15 am – 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a school setting.
  • Provide behavioral support for students in the classroom, either generally for the entire class or one‑on‑one.
  • Analyze environmental factors that may inhibit the student’s ability to access the school curriculum.
  • Work with teachers and other school professionals to customize interventions to each student’s skills, needs, interests, developmental profile, preferences, and setting.
  • Receive ongoing training and supervision throughout the treatment period from a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or a Masters‑level ABA supervisor.
  • Help students achieve academic, social, and emotional success in their school environment.
Qualifications – What you bring to the table

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus completed college courses (60 units) or an Associate’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of ABA experience.
  • ABA experience in a classroom setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • CPR certification in both pediatrics and adults.
  • Experience managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, e.g., non‑compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, self‑injury.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of one full school year as an SBT.
  • Bilingual.
