Job Overview
Temporary Alumni Engagement Liaison reporting to the Executive Director of Alumni & Family Engagement. The role supports alumni‑to‑alumni engagement efforts with a focus on strengthening peer connections and activating volunteer networks in Claremont, CA.
Key Responsibilities- Alumni Volunteer Activation & Support:
Engage and support alumni volunteer groups such as Class Agents, Regional Ambassadors, and Reunion Class Representatives, providing encouragement, communication, and light structure to enable effective volunteer performance. - Peer‑to‑Peer Outreach:
Conduct direct outreach to fellow alumni to promote regional and on‑campus events, increasing event attendance and alumni connection. - Event Promotion & Engagement:
Promote alumni programming through alumni‑driven channels, identify target alumni audiences, and share feedback to refine outreach strategies. - Committee Participation:
Participate in at least one alumni committee (Inclusion & Justice or Engagement Committee) and contribute to alumni engagement initiatives. - Relationship Building & Feedback:
Strengthen alumni relationships, document insights, and keep constituent records up to date.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Alumnus/alumna of Pitzer College with strong affinity for alumni engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including emails, letters, social media, and public speaking.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and engage peers, organized, reliable, and collaborative.
- Ability to identify and develop volunteer leadership and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Technical: reliable, secure computer and internet connection at a dedicated workstation with password protection and safe ergonomics.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed; part‑time up to 19 hours per week.
General sedentary position; occasional movement required for event setup/teardown, including reaching overhead, grasping, pulling, lifting up to 15 pounds, and agility for a high‑volume workload.
Work DetailsPart‑time position, up to 19 hours per week, from July 8, 2026 to October 31, 2026. Regular hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility as needed. Hybrid work model.
Compensation and BenefitsHourly rate: $24.00–$25.00. Eligible employees receive a benefits package that includes competitive compensation, health, dental, vision insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and additional benefits.
