Administrative Assistant
Under general direction of an Executive Director in an Institutional Services Division, performs a wide variety of complex administrative assistance and performs highly specialized duties; supports all key managers and coordinators in the Division in administrative and clerical tasks, either directly or working through the Division clerical staff; trains, provides work direction, supervises and evaluates clerical staff assigned to Division; assists with budget, prepares reports and performs special projects.

Months/Year: 12 months/year
Experience:
Six (6) years of responsible administrative or complex clerical experience for a Director or Administrator of a complex Division including three (3) years in a lead or supervisory capacity;
Education:
AA degree or equivalent of sixty (60) semester units of college courses in business administration, office administration or related field. Additional responsible administrative or higher level clerical experience may be substituted for all or part of the required AA degree or equivalent of sixty (60) semester units on the basis of one (1) year of full-time experience being equal to thirty (30) semester units of college courses in business administration, office administration or related field.
If substituting experience for education, a minimum of a high school diploma or its GED equivalent is required. SPECIAL LICENSE OR LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
The ability to speak, read and write a language in addition to English, such as Spanish or Armenian, and the ability to take and transcribe dictation, is desirable.
