Elementary Art Teacher

Daily/Weekly Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for elementary students
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate art into the curriculum
• Organize an Art Gallery/Show with student work at the end of the year
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Communicate with parents about student achievements and progress
• The weekly schedule for Art classes is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Required Skills:

• Experience in small group instruction
• Proficiency with SMART Board technology
• Strong communication skills with parents
• Knowledge of elementary education principles, especially with art skills & theory
• Ability to implement instructional strategies to a diverse school community

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with Common Core/State Standards for Art
• Familiarity with Differentiated Instruction
• Background in Writing & Creative Project Planning
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Education
• Experience with Lesson Planning and teaching multiple art skills

Technical

Skills:

• Proficiency in Google Classroom
• Experience with Arts and Crafts activities
• Teach multiple art basics to students of varying skill levels
• Knowledge of Classroom Management techniques

Salary and Benefits :
Part-Time Pay ranges from $22/hr to $27/hr D.O.E.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
