Head of Lab Operations

Overview

We are actively hiring a Head of Lab Operations. You will take ownership of lab and building renovations, manage relationships with external construction contractors, ensure HVAC and electrical systems meet specifications, participate in the design of the lab, manage purchasing and receiving of lab equipment and components, and do whatever else is required to keep lab operations running smoothly. You will integrate closely with the quantum hardware and engineering technician teams.

• Take ownership of lab and building renovations
• Own relationships with external construction contractors
• Ensure HVAC and electrical systems meet specifications
• Participate in the design of the lab
• Manage purchasing and receiving of lab equipment and components
• Do whatever else is required to keep lab operations running smoothly
• Integrate closely with the quantum hardware and engineering technician teams

• Prior experience in laboratory or industry settings
• Desirable experience in optics / AMO labs
• Desire to build a quantum computer
• Works well in a highly collaborative team environment

• Compensation: $150,000-$250,000 per year depending on experience
