We are seeking an Applied Scientist specializing in testing of control systems hardware for Amazon quantum processors. You will validate hardware and software that perform control and readout functions in a cross‑functional team environment and work with large mixed‑signal systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop automated test scripts for mid‑volume electronics manufacturing using high‑speed test equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Design and implement test plans for high‑speed, mixed‑signal PCAs and instrument assemblies, covering analog/digital interfaces, ADCs/DACs, FPGAs, and power distribution systems.
- Create test requirements and coverage matrices with hardware and software stakeholders, optimizing test coverage versus test time.
- Analyze test data to identify failure root causes and trends, implement corrective actions, and drive design‑for‑testability enhancements.
- Drive continuous test improvement to increase accuracy, final product reliability, and adapt to new measurement requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in testing analog/digital interfaces, ADCs/DACs, and high‑speed serial protocols (e.g., USB, PCIe, Ethernet).
- 5+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and operating automated test routines for mixed‑signal electronics.
- Hands‑on experience with high‑speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Flexibility to work in fast‑paced, mid‑volume production environments with shifting priorities.
- Working knowledge of surface‑mount technology (SMT), including assembly and rework.
- 1+ year of experience with embedded software development in C/C++.
- Experience with CAE PCB design software such as Altium or Cadence.

Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range: $142,800 – $193,200 per year.
