Retirement Plan Consultant

Job Overview

The Retirement Plan Consultant is a key resource to our governmental and corporate clients seeking expert guidance on their employer-sponsored retirement plans (457b, 401a, 401k, 403b). This position supports the sales team and collaborates closely with clients to develop and implement effective plan strategies and designs that align with their goals and regulatory requirements.

• Consult on plan strategy and design
• Conduct audits of plan documents, provisions, fees, and investment menus
• Review and comment on plan documents and service agreements
• Research and consult on fixed accounts, stable value funds, etc.
• Participate in plan conversions including periodic meetings, custom communications, and participant education
• Conduct client RFPs
• Conduct plan reviews as needed
• Support plan review, fund change, and mapping processes as needed
• Consult with clients about the legal and regulatory environment and its impact on their plans or benefits
• Resolve escalated plan and participant service requests

• Bachelor’s degree or ten (10) years of relevant experience
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Series 65 or 66 preferred
• Experience supporting plan participants with questions and resolving plan issues
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with individuals of all levels inside and outside the organization
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Expected annual salary: $150,000 to $200,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and business line. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k), paid time off, bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
