Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
- Monitor compliance with government regulations and reporting standards.
- Manage government billing processes and collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Track and manage budgets and expenditures.
- Coordinate with annual audits and external auditors.
- Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Oversee payroll processing functions in ADP, ensuring accurate and timely payroll disbursements.
- A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field of study.
- 5+ years of proven experience in non-profit accounting.
- Be proficient in Quick Books and MS Excel.
- Exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
