Position OverviewLanding is looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support the finance team with various day to day operations. Role will provide support for full P&L, BS & CF for the organization along with maintenance and build out budgets, models, KPI’s, scorecards, weekly & monthly reporting, month end close activities, AP/AR, Inventory, RTV’s, Chargebacks and any other ad hoc requests as needed.
This is a high visibility role, reporting in to the Director of Finance, and will partner closely with senior leadership across Operations, Sales, and Executive teams.
- Build and maintain long-term and short-term budgets and forecasts, financial models for distribution and agency business
- Ensure models are built out and updated accurately to drive business decisions around inventory buys, demand forecasts, sell thru, pricing and margins for various channels and brands
- Cash Flow Forecasting:
Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to develop accurate and reliable forecasts of cash flow, incorporating various factors such as revenue projections, operating expenses, capital expenditures, working capital changes, and tax considerations - Variance Analysis:
Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics regularly to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and drive overall business success. Conduct detailed analysis of actual financial results compared to forecasted figures, identifying key drivers of performance and opportunities for improvement - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Sales, Marketing and other departments to ensure alignment of financial plans and objectives. Foster strong relationships and facilitate effective communication across the organization - Continuous Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and enhance existing forecasting methodologies, models, and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in free cash flow forecasting to drive innovation and optimization - Financial statements, Management reporting, Month end close
- Lead monthly business reviews with department heads
- Provide insights into client profitability, SKU performance, and channel economics
- 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting at a CPG, beauty, tech and/or SaaS company
- Strong GAAP knowledge, Degree/Certification in Finance, Business, Accounting preferred
- Previous experience in finance and fast paced CPG/Beauty/Tech industry preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve issues
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced financial modeling skills a plus
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
- Proficient in Quick Books, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs, pivots etc.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
