Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor in tax, accounting, and advisory services for small‑business and middle‑market clients.
- Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and preparation or compilation of financial statements.
- Review and analyze client records, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate findings.
- Deliver best‑in‑class customer service, responding promptly and professionally.
- Lead and plan client engagements, evaluating processes and proposing efficiencies and internal controls.
- Recommend business and process improvements based on knowledge of client operations.
- Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a liaison to resolve issues and support team leaders.
- Delegate and oversee work efforts, setting goals, providing resources, and scheduling deadlines.
- Stay current on local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
- Assist with engagement staffing, billings, collections, and profitability targets.
- Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.
- Engage in professional development and firm‑wide learning programs.
- Support the growth of team members through mentoring and coaching.
- 4‑year degree; CPA, law license, or enrolled agent required.
- Five years of experience in federal and state tax compliance, accounting, and advisory services in a professional services firm.
- Two years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
- Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise, deliver exceptional client service, and demonstrate continuous learning.
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
Pay rate ranges:
Pasadena, CA – $111,000 to $145,710.
El Segundo, CA – $111,000 to $145,710.
Woodland Hills, CA – $111,000 to $145,710.
