Performs both routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, safety testing and repair of a diverse range of clinical equipment, which may include life support. This position requires flexibility of hours.

Biomedical technology certification/diploma or Associate degree or higher in a related field.

Two to five years of related experience.

Preferred:
Current Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification

• Performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and safety tests with limited supervision.
• PM completion rate exceeds 90% for non-life support equipment.
• PM completion rate achieves 100% for life support equipment.
• Schedules PMs and informs the head of department in a timely fashion.
• Documents entire procedure including follow-up on "delinquent devices" on a monthly basis.
• Completes assignments monthly.
• Performs safety inspections per HMH CT’s PMP procedures.
• Based on the results of the test, makes the immediate necessary corrections.
• Can explain to the customer in common terms the testing results and necessary corrections.

  The estimated base rate for this position is $39.00 - $58.50. Additional compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of total rewards; a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
