** Job Description
** The EVS Tech cleans and maintains assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, according to established procedures.  This position provides services necessary to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of infection between patients, visitors, and staff.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Performs a variety of activities to clean assigned areas in patient rooms, operating rooms, pre-op/recovery rooms, and/or common areas of the hospital, according to established procedures
* Completes assignments in an efficient manner while maintaining a high standard of work, ensuring the established guidelines and practices are met
* Utilizes proper knowledge of safety, hospital codes and infection control measures according to established departmental guidelines
* Demonstrates the ability to operate floor care machinery and other cleaning machines safely
* Properly collect and dispose of regular trash, regulated medical waste and soiled linens
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** 1+ years of environmental services experience in a hospital setting
* Floor Maintenance experience

The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $47.35. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
