HR Manager, HR / Recruitment Consultant, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HRIS Professional
LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee our client's full‑cycle payroll operations for a growing organization in Pasadena. This role requires strong technical skills, deep payroll knowledge, and the ability to manage high‑volume, multi‑state payroll in a fast‑paced environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive hands‑on experience with ADP, exceptional accuracy, and a strong understanding of compliance and reporting.
Responsibilities- Manage full‑cycle payroll processing for weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly payrolls
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll submission across multiple states
- Maintain payroll records, audit employee data, and manage updates to compensation, deductions, and tax withholding
- Oversee off‑cycle payroll runs, adjustments, and corrections
- Generate payroll reports for accounting, HR, and leadership teams
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding, terminations, and employee file updates
- Respond to payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support employees with payroll‑related issues
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure adherence to wage and hour laws
- Partner with Finance on reconciliations, year‑end reporting, and audits
- 6+ years of payroll experience, including multi‑state payroll
- Strong proficiency in ADP (Workforce Now or other ADP modules required)
- Advanced understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance
- Experience collaborating closely with HR and Finance teams
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information
- Ability to work onsite in Pasadena
