Responsibilities:
- Verify and maintain the accuracy of employee payroll data to uphold data integrity.
- Process payroll in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Audit and upload time data from various sources, including Oracle Time and Labor or Excel spreadsheets.
- Manage manual wire transfers and check requests in alignment with legal and business unit needs.
- Perform payroll-related calculations such as retroactive payments and time-off accruals.
- Update and maintain payroll records, including direct deposits, garnishments, and bonuses.
- Coordinate and oversee payroll processing schedules and calendars.
- Conduct audits before and after payroll processing to ensure accuracy.
- Interpret and apply company policies, union contracts, and legal regulations to payroll operations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from HR staff and employees in a detail-oriented manner. Requirements - Proven experience in processing payroll for mid-sized teams (101-500 employees).
- Proficiency in ADP Payroll systems and biweekly payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll functions, including garnishments and tax with holdings.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for creating and maintaining detailed reports.
- Familiarity with data analysis and testing of payroll extensions.
- Ability to perform general ledger analysis related to payroll accounts.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills in the application of policies and regulations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with HR and respond to employee inquiries.
