Position Summary

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Talent Solutions is an entry-level position supporting the recruitment and development of talent and client relationships.

The SDR works across the recruiting lifecycle, beginning with candidate sourcing, engagement, screening, and interview coordination. With training and demonstrated proficiency, responsibilities progress into independent recruiting, client interaction, account management, and business development.

The position requires regular communication with candidates and clients through telephone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings.

Talent Sourcing & Candidate Engagement
  • Source applicants and prospective candidates for permanent, contract, contract-to-hire, and special project opportunities.
  • Conduct candidate searches using recruiting platforms, databases, professional networks, job boards, and internal systems.
  • Engage applicants and proactively sourced candidates by telephone, email, and virtual communication.
  • Conduct screening calls to evaluate experience, qualifications, career interests, availability, and compensation requirements.
  • Identify candidates whose qualifications align with client requirements.
  • Schedule screening calls and candidate interviews.
  • Prepare candidates for client interviews and communicate relevant expectations.
  • Gather candidate feed back following interviews and throughout the recruiting process.
  • Maintain consistent communication and a professional candidate experience.
Recruiting &Search Management
  • Develop search strategies based on position requirements, location, industry, skills, and client needs.
  • Research talent markets and identify prospective candidates across the United States.
  • Maintain candidate pipelines for assigned searches and special projects.
  • Track recruiting activity, candidate status, communications, and relevant information within company business systems.
  • Coordinate candidate and client activity throughout the interview and selection process.
  • Support offer discussions, gather candidate feedback regarding compensation or negotiation requests, and confirm accepted offers and start dates.
Client & Account Support
  • Participate in client intake meetings to understand hiring requirements, business needs, timelines, and candidate profiles.
  • Communicate with client managers through email, telephone, virtual meetings, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide recruiting activity, candidate pipeline, and search progress updates.
  • Gather client feedback regarding candidates and adjust recruiting activity accordingly.
  • Coordinate communication between candidates and client stakeholders.
  • Support recruiting initiatives and special projects across multiple clients and U.S. markets.
  • Identify additional hiring needs and opportunities where DirectedLINK may provide services.
Sales & Business Development
  • Research prospective clients and target markets.
  • Identify organizations with potential staffing, recruiting, EOR, or project workforce needs.
  • Conduct prospective client outreach through telephone, email, virtual communication, networking, and in-person interaction.
  • Participate in client discovery and introductory meetings.
  • Develop prospective client and account pipelines.
  • Support expansion of services within existing client relationships.
  • Progress toward independently developing and managing client accounts.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in recruiting, sales, account management, or professional services.
  • Comfortable communicating by telephone, email, video conference, and in person.
  • Ability to learn recruiting, CRM, and other business technology systems.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to research information and apply structured processes.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling candidate and client information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while developing toward independent responsibility.
  • Previous staffing or recruiting experience is not required.

The position provides structured development in candidate sourcing, recruiting technology, interviewing, candidate assessment, professional communication, talent-market research, search management, client relations, account management, consultative sales, and business development.
