The IRB Data Reporting and Analytics Consultant III supports Kaiser Permanente’s Institutional Review Boards and the National Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) through advanced data management, reporting, and analytics related to the electronic Institutional Review Board (eIRB) submission system. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, developing and maintaining performance dashboards, and generating reports that support regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and accreditation requirements.

The consultant provides analytic insights into IRB workload, throughput, and process optimization using advanced tools and methods. This position also plays a key role in the planning, and testing of eIRB system by leading implementations, upgrades and enhancements, including workflow design, configuration, and user support. Deep knowledge of IRB processes and electronic submission systems is essential to support continuous operational improvements.

This individual contributor is primarily responsible for supporting data-informed decisions, gathering data and information on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion, and preparing data for analytic efforts. This position supports the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes, develops, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions, supports data analysis interpretation, and supports and develops analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions.

• Gathers data and information on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion by validating data sources; querying, merging, and extracting data across sources; completing routine data refresh and update; developing and/or delivering tools for electronic data collection; and providing user training, support, and documentation.
• Supports data analysis interpretation by applying findings to contextual settings under the guidance of more senior employees; and developing reports and presentations telling a compelling story to stakeholders to enable and influence decision making.
• Develops, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions by working with stakeholders in their design, planning, and implementation while ensuring consistency and coherency; summarizing data and results; creating summary statistics; organizing data reports, visualizations, and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports; identifying needs for the development and implementation of additional reporting solutions; and preparing documentation as appropriate.
