Job Description - Daily Responsibilities

This Project Manager role provides temporary support for high-priority operational and strategic initiatives within the client organization. The focus is on driving execution, improving coordination, and ensuring visibility into project progress.

Key responsibilities include supporting strategic plan implementation activities such as meeting coordination, workplan maintenance, milestone tracking, action item follow-up, and status reporting. The role will also produce weekly updates and dashboards highlighting scope, schedule, risks, and key decisions needed, while ensuring timely escalation of blockers.

Additional responsibilities include documenting repeatable processes, templates, and project artifacts to improve consistency and reduce rework, as well as supporting knowledge transfer at the end of the assignment. The role will facilitate working sessions, capture decisions, and assist with change management communications as needed.

This position will also support process improvement initiatives by assisting with project scoping, action tracking, stakeholder coordination, and outcomes reporting. The goal is to help standardize and operationalize process improvement efforts through reusable tools, templates, and training resources.

Top Daily Focus Areas:

Project delivery and execution including planning, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies

Stakeholder coordination and communication across multiple work streams

Intake and triage support to standardize request capture and routing

Reporting progress through dashboards and weekly status updates

Supporting process improvement and documentation efforts

Required Skills:

5+ years of project management experience

Strong ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders

Excellent planning, documentation, and follow-through skills

Experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies

Strong written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Asana and Microsoft applications

Experience supporting process improvement initiatives, including workflow documentation and facilitation of improvement efforts

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

PMP certification or equivalent

Experience with intake and triage operating models

Background in academic medicine or complex matrixed organizations

Strong facilitation skills

Experience building templates, playbooks, and standardized workflows

Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies
