Interpreter Positions

This posting is being used to establish an eligibility pool for Interpreter positions for the 2026–2027 school year. Position Information Languages Needed:

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience:

Three [3] years of experience in preparing translations to and from the foreign language is required. Education beyond the AA degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required experience on the basis of thirty (30) semester units with course work in English and/or the foreign language, including basic language skills (grammar, syntax, punctuation, etc.) being equal to one (1) year of full-time experience.

Education:

Possession of an Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with course work in English and/or the foreign language, including basic language skills (grammar, syntax, punctuation, etc.) is required; possession of a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with course work in English and/or the foreign language, including basic language skills (grammar, syntax, punctuation, etc.)

Skills:

A high level of proficiency and fluency in the designated language, and ability to translate effectively to and from English, is required.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

* DEGREE VERIFICATION:
Transcripts and degrees received outside the United States must be supplemented by a complete evaluation report from a regionally accredited foreign degrees review agency. For more information on foreign degree evaluation, visit (cl-635) Only equivalency evaluations are acceptable. (X) Translated transcripts are not acceptable. (X) Notarized transcripts are not acceptable.
** Current PUSD employees may:
Submit a "short application" on ;
Only provide documents needed to meet minimum qualifications;
Submit a transfer request to HR for positions in the same classification.
** Letters of recommendation, resumes, and letters of introduction are not required for internal applicants but are strongly recommended.
** Employees meeting minimum qualifications shall be interviewed.
