We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support a prominent litigation practice in Pasadena. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle — from case intake through trial — while also managing attorneys’ travel arrangements and expense reporting. This role combines substantive legal support with administrative coordination to ensure efficient case management and attorney readiness.
Key Responsibilities Litigation Support Duties- Assist with the preparation, formatting, proofreading, and filing of legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and pleadings.
- Maintain, organize, and file case documents and electronic case files in a clear, accessible system.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, client meetings, mediations, and court dates; manage attorneys’ calendars.
- Compile and assemble trial binders, exhibits, and trial support materials.
- Conduct basic legal research and prepare summaries under attorney supervision.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties as needed, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Track litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal court procedures.
- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years working as a litigation legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, or similar role in a law firm setting; litigation support experience preferred.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), legal document management systems, and e-filing software. - Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal ability.
- Organizational
Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong time-management skills. - Professionalism: Discretion and confidentiality handling sensitive legal and financial information.
Schedule:
4 days in and 1 remote after 90 days of training completely onsite.
