About the RoleAs a Store Manager, you will lead the team that introduces families to Carter’s baby and children’s apparel, guiding them through key moments such as first days of school and parenting milestones. You will cultivate a welcoming, inclusive environment, develop staff expertise in product knowledge, and drive sales and customer loyalty.
Responsibilities- Build a talent pipeline through networking and recruiting; develop succession plans by training and developing team members.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment, encouraging collaboration and recognizing performance to increase employee engagement.
- Lead and develop store leaders through direction, delegation, and investment in their growth.
- Create a genuine customer focus on the sales floor by leading the Leader on Duty program and welcoming customers with warm greetings.
- Build customer loyalty through coaching on the benefits of customer participation in Loyalty programs, including credit.
- Execute company direction on merchandising and operations; manage payroll and budgets.
- Understand and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify behaviors that drive results.
- Seamlessly lead and integrate an omnichannel experience, ensuring teams are trained on available tools.
- Reduce loss through consistent customer service, education, and operational controls.
- Positive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including leading, directing, and executing multiple tasks.
- Proficient computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, web navigation, etc.).
- Minimum of 3 years of retail or related management experience leading direct reports.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and use a ladder as needed.
- Availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of two closing shifts per week.

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.00 to $38.00 per hour, based on experience and location.
